Data Collection

QuoteCatcher stores your books and quotes on your device for personal archiving. The app developer does not collect or sell your quote text on its own servers.

Local Storage and Backups

• Books, quotes, tags, and related images are stored locally on your device.
• If you use automatic or manual backup, backup files may be saved to your iCloud Drive.
• iCloud backups are associated with your Apple account and are handled under Apple's iCloud terms.
• When you export JSON files or share content, the selected files and content are sent to the apps you choose.

OCR and Book Information

• OCR processing is performed on device.
• Apple Vision Framework may be used on iOS, and Google ML Kit may be used on Android.
• ISBN and cover lookups may send queries to third-party sources such as Google Books and Open Library.

Ads and Purchases

• The free version may show ads through Google AdMob.
• Ad-free purchases and purchase restoration are handled through RevenueCat and the App Store / Play Store infrastructure.
• These services may process device, purchase, ad impression, and similar technical data according to their own privacy policies.

Permissions

• Camera and photo permissions are used to scan book pages or choose images.
• Photo library add permission may be used to save generated quote images.
• Advertising identifier permission may be used for more relevant ads only if you grant system permission.
